If your spinal nerves from the neck or low back are pinched or irritated, you can experience a numbness, tingling, or even pain in an arm or a leg. It can affect the whole arm or leg but will most often affect specific areas or the arm and hand or leg and foot. Usually, for symptoms like this, there is an underlying condition causing the problem, such as a subluxation (misalignment of a vertebral bone), pinched nerve, muscle spasm, herniated disc or spinal stenosis(narrowing of the space where the nerve exits the spine). While rest, anti-inflammatories and ice can help manage with the pain, they don’t do any thing to correct the underlying condition. Not having some sort of treatment will generally cause the underlying problem to get slowly worse. Each time the pain comes back, it will be worse, and last a little longer, until your condition becomes permanent.

At Back Works Chiropractic, our doctors have gotten excellent results treating these types of conditions. As doctors of Chiropractic, they use chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy, and physical therapy not only to help manage the pain but also to treat the underlying condition. The treatments are quick, and painless. If you have issues with neck, shoulder or arm pain, give us a call to day for a free consultation.
